Bev Nielsen, BID
Bev Nielsen is an award-winning designer with 30 years of housing, commercial, and health care experience. Her expertise includes housing and unit design, facility planning and interior design. Bev has extensive knowledge of barrier-free and adaptable environments and she is a frequent speaker at senior housing industry events. Bev holds a Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of Manitoba.
Through extensive volunteer work, Bev has demonstrated her commitment to the education of design professionals, developers, and the public on issues of adaptability in housing. She has served as a Director of Vancity Enterprises Ltd., a Member of the City of North Vancouver Working Committee on Accessibility, a Member of the West Vancouver Kiwanis Club, a Member of the UBC Advisory Design Panel, and a Member of BC Housing Supportive Housing Advisory Committee.
